When a beautiful mermaid decides to rebel against her own father, who is the king of the ocean, all hell breaks loose in her ocean home. The entire ocean community is eager to know what happens at the end. Well, even the community above the ocean is eager to watch “The Little Mermaid” give an outstanding performance, trying to convince the handsome prince and fight the evil witch! This is the story of fulfilling one’s wishes, rebelling against traditions, and exploring new avenues of life.

No wonder, this Disney tryout sold 95,000 seats in Denver and won the hearts of a huge audience in New York. Based on the animated movie of the same name, produced in 1989, this Disney musical is all set to splash the stage of Broadway with sheer excitement.

The songs of “The Little Mermaid” are going to make you sway on your seats. “Kiss the Girl”, “Part of Your World”, and “Under the Sea” are among the best compositions. The last one has grabbed an Academy Award for the title of The Best Original Song! Its lyrics have been penned down by Alan Menke, who has 8 Academy Awards to his credit, and Howard Ashman, who is known by every soul, fond of music! You will also come across some touching lines given by Menken and Glenn Slater.

Francesca Zambello has directed this Disney musical, which is her debut production for Broadway. The star cast has Sierra Bogges and Sean Palmer playing the lead roles of Ariel and Prince Eric, respectively. Besides this, King Triton is played by Norm Lewis; Jetsam is in real life Derrrick Baskin; Urusla is actually Sherie Rene Scott. The roles of Chef Louis and Grimsby have been played by John Treacy Egan and Jonathan Freeman, respectively.

“The Little Mermaid” team already held the world premiere at the Denver Center, in the month of July, 2007. The show was opened on Broadway in August this year and continued till 9th September. If you missed watching the gorgeous Ariel with her gritty ambitions of exploring the world outside the ocean, you have another chance. The show will begin its previews in November this year, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, and open officially on the 6th of the following month.

So, if you have still not booked tickets for the show, it’s time you pick up your phone. Dial a number and the ticketing services will arrange for the tickets of your choice show. You can even order the tickets online. However, there is a risk of returning empty-handed or not getting enough tickets, if you attempt to try your luck at the box office. There is a maddening rush already at the windows!

This Disney musical promises to provide complete family entertainment. It’s not just a children’s entertainment stuff. Both the young and old will have a good time watching the musical and humming along the tunes of the splendid songs. “The Little Mermaid” is a must-see!

Monty Python Spamalot is playing at the Shubert Theatre on Broadway in the Theater district located on the North side of 44th Street a little west of Broadway at the southwest corner of Shubert Alley. The theatre has a seating capacity of 1521 seats with a proscenium stage.

The musical comedy opened in New York on Broadway in March of 2005. Based on the classic “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” with a book by Eric idle and a collaboration effort with John Du Prez. The Broadway musical offers three musical scores from the original movie. The original press releases states: “Telling the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, and their quest for the Holy Grail, featuring a chorus line of dancing divas and knights, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits, and one legless knight who create unforgettable musical production numbers that Eric Idle promises will be as good or quite likely better than any other show with killer rabbits and a legless knight opening on Broadway or in Chicago this season.

The running time of the show is two hours and fifteen minutes without and intermission. The production sells out often and Monty Python Spamalot theater tickets average seventy-five dollars.

A fictional tale of people and puppets living together in the harsh enviorment of New York City streets, telling the story of all the generations of young hopeful adults who come to the big city to chase their dreams and find their identity as they become adults.

The show opened on July 10, 2003 at the Golden Theatre in the theater district of New York’s famed Broadway. The production is an original musical which has won praise from critics, bringing a breathe of fresh air to Broadway. The musical score includes great songs, mixed in with puppets and people dealing with the different problems, such as an internet addict and a sexual identy crisis. The storyline goes very deep into adult problems, as the idea of reading about puppets, you make think this is more of a light hearted event, however some dark issues are dealt with, all the while bringing you closer to the character, whether it be a human or a puppet.

Avenue Q made its official debut off Broadway at the Vineyard Theater, once critics and viewers began applauding it’s work, it was moved onto Broadway to the John Golden Theatre where the production continues to gain a fan base and sell out shows. Most who see the show feel it is the best production on broadway right now, and i would have to agree.

Avenue Q took home 4 Tony awards in 2003 including, including Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Book. Avenue Q Broadway show tickets are currently on sale at an average price of sixty-four dollars per seat.

Watch Sierra Bogges give an outstanding performance as the beautiful mermaid named Ariel, who goes against her father and sets off for a life outside the ocean. Her prince Eric, played by Seam Palmer, is waiting for her lady with the perfect voice! The story also features the evil witch, who makes for some exciting twists and turns in the show and Ariel’s friends down the sea, who leave no stone turned in entertaining the audience.

“The Little Mermaid”, which had its world premiere in July 2007 at the Denver Center, is about to create a wave at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in November this year. For Francesca Zambello, the director of this show, this is an exciting time of her career, as this Disney musical is her debut Broadway production.

“The Little Mermaid” features some prestigious people working behind the scenes, to create a magical outcome. The fine dance moves displayed by Ariel and her friends down in the ocean are the brainchild of choreographer Stephen Mear, who has an Olivier Award to his credit. The striking lighting arrangement that creates an almost real underwater feel is the product of lighting designer Natasha Katz’s creativity. She has a Tony Award to her credit. The book for the musical has been written by Doug Wright, who boasts of winning a Tony Award and Pulitzer Award. The famous “I Am My Own Wife” is also the work of Wright.

The other cast includes Norm Lewis as King Triton, Derrrick Baskin playing the role of Jetsam, Sherie Rene Scott in the character of Urusla, John Treacy Egan playing Chef Louis, and Jonathan Freeman as Grimsby. The costumes have been designed by Tatiana Noginova and the sets have been designed by George Tsypin.

Although, the critics have had their say with regards to the design and direction of this musical, it fails to dampen the spirit of the audience, who is impressed by the storyline, picturization, and fine tunes featured in the musical.

The melodious songs like “Part of Your World”, “Under the Sea”, and “Kiss the Girl” have managed to settle deep in the hearts of the audience. The song “Under the Sea” has already been awarded as the Best Original Song by the Academy Award jury. It has been created by Alan Menken and the eminent Howard Ashman. Alan Menken has been presented with the Academy Award eight times! The musical also features some splendid compositions by Menken and Glenn Slater.

“The Little Mermaid” promises to entertain you like no other show. Come with your family or your friends. You will have a blasting experience of watching the sea creatures come to life on stage! And the mermaid simply can’t help but steal your heart with her beauty, brains, and her melodious voice. The theatre fans have already made a beeline at the box office. If you delay further, you will lose the chance of getting the front row seats, which will make your underwater experience even better.

Seafarer Broadway tickets are selling like hot cakes as people are queuing to watch one of the most talked about Irish plays this season.

Creative Team

The play is a National Theater of Great Britain production that has been written and directed by the versatile Conor McPherson. The sets and costumes are by Rae Smith and the fight director is Thomas Schall. The lighting is by Neil Austin and sound by Mathew Smethurst-Evans. The play is produced by Boyett Ostar Enterprises and the press agent is Boneau/Bryan-Brown.

The Cast

The play has a stellar cast comprising of Ciaran Hinds who plays Mr. Lockhart and Conleth Hill who plays the myopic Ivan Curry. Sean Mahon is Nicky Giblin and David Morse plays the role of James ‘Sharky’ Harkin. Jim Norton plays the character Richard Harkin who has been recently blinded due to an unfortunate fall in a dumpster. Each actor has been portraying his character to perfection that has been guided by a superb director who has done a swell job. It is no wonder that Seafarer Broadway tickets are quite in demand.

Venue

The venue is Booth Theatre, 222 West 45th Street, New York, NY 10036. The play is of the time duration of 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 15 minutes intermission. The play may be inappropriate for children less than 16 years of age and please remember that children below 4 years are not allowed.

Synopsis

The story revolves around the lives of Sharky and Richard. They are two brothers in their fifties and Sharky is taking care of his blind sibling. It is Christmas Eve and the two brothers have their buddies Nicky and Ivan for company. Nicky brings along a stranger, a Mr. Lockhart who actually is the devil who has come to collect Sharky’s soul.

Booking Your Tickets

Securing an orchestra, mezzanine or premium seats to the show is not as difficult as it may seem. Seafarer Broadway tickets can be secured at the box office on the day of the show, but you run the risk of not getting there on time and being disappointed as the last few tickets that were available were sold out.

Seafarer Broadway tickets can be secured from your neighborhood scalper or via an auction site online, but you may end up paying hefty prices for rather cheap tickets or perhaps may even end up buying counterfeit tickets.

Seafarer Broadway tickets can be secured in a most convenient manner by using the services of an authorized ticket broker. Just go online, select the seats of your choice and the day. You can also get tickets to shows that have been sold out without any trouble. The tickets are guaranteed and you need not worry about whether you are getting the Real McCoy. The tickets are usually delivered 24 hours after they go on sale via FedEx. The websites are safe and secure as encrypted servers are used. You need not wait at the box office or go back home disappointed. The whole process is simple and uncomplicated, and you can book your tickets 24/7.

Book your Seafarer Broadway tickets in advance and treat your family to the play that seems to have more admirers that critics.

Did you know that… soon your Home Theatre System and your PC/Server & Communications with the rest of the world, will all be combined?

The Plethora of Information is confusing.

Let’s sort:

Let’s sort through some of the considerations you need to look at before you spend big bucks.

The most expensive component will probably be the ‘Display’. There are quite a few sizes and types of display possibilities, including, but not limited to, Plasma, LCD, Flatpanel.

In size you can watch your Home Theatre Entertainment from 120″ projected HDTV to small 12″ Portable DVD players. There are different Display Technologies to consider. Plasma, LCD, OLED, DLC. All of which use energy at different levels and have varying performance in Clarity and speed. Also consider how long the component will probably last and what warranties are offered.

With large wall mounted displays, you may want to know if installation is included. You will want to have great sound reproduction for that ‘Concert Hall’ or Theatre experience. Many manufacturers offer Surround Sound with ‘Wireless’ Rear Speakers now, allowing placement any where within 100′ without wiring concerns.

The Up and Coming King of Home Video is soon to be HDTV You will need to know your local situation on HDTV. Do you have local HDTV Broadcast stations within range. If you do you may want to study up on HDTV Receivers & Antennas. Cable & Satellite Providers are all beginning to offer Digital and Digital HDTV service.

These can be combined with Hi-Speed Internet.

Satellite Radio is a relatively new technology that can be used in your vehicle or in your Home Theatre System. Talk about wireless. When combined with the audio of your new outrageous Wireless Home Theatre System, and the wide range of selections provided by Satellite Radio Providers, (2) at this writing, just Radio Listening becomes an adventure.

Before you spend those Big Bucks, You can spend from under a thousand dollars to $100,000 or more if you have the budget.

Before those Big Bucks leave your wallet, do some research. Get your best value on an investment that is intended to last a few years and be able to evolve as new technology comes along.

Are You Ready To Start? Your Wireless Home Theatre System will involve your whole family and your friends in many memorable experiences for years to come. It’s worth a little time checking out the features you want. Whether you’re a movie aficionado, audiophile or gamer. Checkit out.

I’ve provided many links to other information sources. Enjoy the Search.

When you walk into the home theatre system area of your local consumer electronics outlet, the multitude of choices are daunting. Everything is gleaming under the fluorescent lights, very new and very shiny, each system seemingly saying “buy me, buy me”. Before you get to that point, there are many things you need to understand and realize to help you make the best possible decision for your home and your wallet.

First you need to determine which room of your home will house this home theatre system. Note that if you are going for the very large screen like 50 or 60 inches or more, the best viewing is from about 10 to 12 feet away. So putting a screen of this size into a small room is going to disappoint you because the screen will not look sharp or crisp. On the other hand, if you go with a smaller screen like a 36 or 42 inch screen, this would be adequate for a small family room or even a larger bedroom.

You need to decide on what type of display you want. LCD and plasma displays will provide the clearest and sharpest images. DLP and rear projection systems can cost less, but a major disadvantage in these systems is the viewing angle — DLP and rear projection do not provide as clear a picture when viewing the screen from an angle. Again, examine your target room where your system will be located, and determine the typical viewing angle for the viewers which should help you decide the best display technology to use.

Another important component is the receiver. Some receivers for home theatre systems have inputs for your cable TV or satellite dish connection, as well as inputs for a variety of other things, such as your DVD player, your VCR, your surround sound system, and perhaps even a PC input. Some even have a built-in radio, although these are becoming less common. One of the newer additions to receivers is the ability to play XM radio, although XM radio will require a monthly subscription. So with all these choices, you need to evaluate what is important to you, as well as what you will actually USE. There is little sense, for example, in equipping the receiver with XM radio if you will never or rarely use that option.

No home theatre system is complete without a good speaker system. Ideally, the surround sound should be Dolby 7.1 or at least Dolby 5.1. If you are going to spend the money on a great home theatre system, it makes little sense to “cheap out” with the speakers and audio system, since after the picture, the SOUND is the other component that lights up your internal sensory perceptors as you are enjoying your system.

You can even go the extra mile with your surround sound system if you want to go whole hog, and use the “bass shaker” attachments that are available with some systems. These gadgets attach to your recliner or sofa, and when a scene comes on with an explosion or car wreck, these gadgets actually SHAKE the recliner or sofa, adding to the realism of the movie.

I suggest you make yourself a list, or maybe even a paper spreadsheet that you take with you when you shop around. Put a column for must-have features, a column for nice-to-have features, and perhaps yet another column for a feature you find that is specific to a particular brand. And definitely SHOP AROUND for your home theatre system! Create a budget for yourself that will NOT be exceeded, regardless of how loudly a particular system is screaming at you to buy it. Watch for systems to go on sale, which they do on a frequent basis, and you can save yourself a wad of cash. If you are buying the components separately, my recommendation would be to buy them all from the same store. That way if there is a problem, you will not have the issue of “finger pointing” from the various stores trying to blame each other.

The smart shopper is the one who gets the quality system and doesn’t pay “sticker price” for it. Be informed, know what you want, be willing to learn if you run across an intelligent salesperson who knows what he is talking about, and stick to your budget.

You will be able to enjoy your investment in this superb home theatre system for years to come.

iPod in hand as I flick through the tracks I stop, the music begins to fill me head as I remember that same feeling as I did maybe 20 years ago.

London in the eighties there is nothing quite like going to London to see a musical, the excitement of that childhood trip I remember well. Early mornings here in Liverpool and the anticipation of the Pullman train journey down to Euston station in London when my father had to go on business.

My mother, sister and I were promised a trip shopping in London coupled with a musical. A sense of anticipation grew as the day went on, arriving at the Cumberland hotel while mother adorned in here fur coat discussed what seats were available for which shows. I guess it was about 1982 and a host of Andrew Lloyd Webber productions were being staged in the West End, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard, The Phantom of the Opera coupled with the rock musical Time or Mutiny on the Bounty. How times have changed.

Then little girls wore long dresses and ladies in cocktail dresses whilst the men wore black tie and evening jackets a really sense of occasion and like all young children my sister and I simply loved getting dresses up.

Finally the moment arrived seated in the centre circle waiting for the curtain to raise my sister on my left with mum and dad seated to my right , opera glasses in hand star struck waiting for the orchestra to play that first note. It mattered not which musical or even which theatre just those stage lights and that compelling tune that fills the theatre. On this occasion it happened to Sunset Boulevard and the curtained began to raise.

I knew from the very first time I watched my first musical that I would be a life long theatre goer and would dream of one day performing upon that stage. The music filled my head and my heart and the show began. There is no experience quiet like it and the glamour of the eighties theatre nights were there for everyone too see.

Before you knew where we were it was the interval, as the ladies and gentlemen flowed into the bar there was a silver tray with the name Warwick upon it our order already for us at the bar in the theatre, refreshments for all . Cigarettes and cigars lit the room filled with chatter of the performances while the air filled with the smell of cigars.

Five minutes ten minutes who knows soon we were seated back in our velvet seats again waiting for the final encounter. I will never forget the performance of an aged Hollywood star trying to deal with the end of the silent era a wonderful story moving and yet enlightening. The music seemed timeless and the experience will forever stick in my memory, ever show as memorable as the last ever performance unique.

Finally the audience raised the roof with applause standing clapping endlessness as the performers re-entered the stage to take there curtain call louder and louder the theatre rang with applause. Peering over the centre circle to take one last look at the stage I can remember that feeling a slight tear in my eye produced by happiness and a slight yawn as it was way past my bedtime. A family experience that once taken you would never forget.

As I lay in my bed that night I can remember seeing the lights and hearing the music melodically soothing me to sleep.

One of the overwhelming aspects of finding and/or designing he right home theatre system is that there are now so many options to choose from. With the ever steady boom in home theatre demand, more manufacturers are producing a wide array of options. Technology continues to change and improve in leaps and bounds, which often means what was brand new and completely unaffordable only twelve months ago may now be right in your perfect price range.

One reason many individuals like having a hand in designing their own home theatre system is that you can basically mix and match to make it into whatever you want. You are not restrained by package deals. It is possible to put together a full-scale, state of the art system with projector, receiver and the works, or if that seems a little over the top, you can buy a quality TV (some almost to projection screen sizes nowadays) and accessorize it with DVD player and surround sound speakers.

The variance can go from a couple thousand, to $100,000 for the ludicrously rich and extravagant. This illustrates the importance of choosing a system that suits your needs and doesn’t break the bank.

In the end, it’s all about getting the best possible home theater system for the money you have available. Don’t be afraid if it’s not state of the art-your neighbor will still be paying that off six years down the road when you’ve already upgraded for cheaper. Because of the rapid move of technology, prices bottom out pretty quickly as companies rush at sometimes break neck speeds to try and out do each other.

Think about your own watching and listening needs. Based on what you prefer, a little research should reveal to you the best brands, the best speakers, the best options for what you want to enjoy.

Building your home theater can be a great experience. If you are a family man, you can enjoy movies with the family without having to go out to the hassles of a theatre. If you’re a bachelor, invite the guys over for the game. If you’re a college student, you are probably incredibly popular (just don’t put it on the credit cards). There are several different factors to consider when picking out the various parts that will go into your own personal home theatre system. Here is a check list of a few things to consider:

* Projector or TV? Are you in a semi-permanent residence, or moving soon? That may make a huge difference in how much you want to sink in.

* If you’re shooting for the projector, then what type suits your needs?
* Small room or larger one.
* What is the focus? Movies? Music? Football games? All of the above?
* Location, location, location!
* Can I do it myself, or should I get help?

Keep this checklist in mind and do your research, and you’ll be sure to find the home theatre system that matches your needs.

London’s West End is often considered a mecca for live stage entertainment. Musicals, drama, comedy, tragedy, opera, and just about any other theatrical genre you can think of are all showing in London’s famous entertainment district throughout the year. With a choice of over 100 productions playing at any one time there’s bound to be something that appeals, so why not combine a theatre trip with an overnight stay in a West End hotel?

When you’re looking for ideas as to what to see in the West End, consider all your options carefully. The fantastic musical “We Will Rock You” at the Dominion features the stirring music of rock group ‘Queen’. Alternatively, if you love a good cliff-hanger, the classic “The 39 Steps” should do the trick.

Meanwhile, if reality TV and the search for stars to appear in ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘Grease’ and ‘Joseph’ has whetted your appetite – if so, make sure you secure a ticket for one of these un-missable shows. Or for something a little more traditional, opt for a trip to a stirring opera such as Verdi’s ‘Aida’ or maybe a trip to the ballet in Covent Garden.

The beauty of London’s West End, however, is that so much is packed into such a small area: theatres, hotels, restaurants, pubs, and shops are all conveniently located close together – making it a great place to visit for an action-packed break. Also, many restaurants in the West End offer a special value menu for theatre-goers wishing to eat before attending their selected performance, especially in the area around Leicester Square – so remember to take advantage!

Theatre breaks are not just a summer activity, but can be enjoyed all-year round. Moreover, London’s tumult of activity never ceases, so you’ll be able to see the sights whether you visit in the height of summer or the depths of winter. With many historic attractions, such as Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, plus far more besides, you will never be stuck for attractions to appreciate. Plus, many of the other marvellous sights of the country’s capital are just a short journey away from the West End, including London’s newly crowned number one tourist attraction – The London Eye.

And no visit to London would be complete without a spot of shopping! Hot-spots such as Oxford Street, Regents Street, Carnaby Street and Knightsbridge are all ripe for a spot of retail therapy. From chain stores to exclusive designer shops you’ll find them all, but remember to get back to your hotel in plenty of time to change for curtain-up!

Perhaps your ideal theatre break involves adding romance to your theatre break with a stay in an intimate boutique hotel in London with your partner, or maybe you just want to plump for a budget hotel. Either way by booking a hotel in the West End you’ll never be far away from the spotlight.
